Invitation Study Day May 6, 2019
In February 2019, the AFSP published a report entitled "Quelle internationalisation pour la science politique française?". The result of several months of investigation and exchanges with the association's institutional partners, this summary report drawn up by a working group formed within the AFSP aimed to clarify the terms of the debate, provide a certain amount of information and, above all, formulate several proposals for action to improve this internationalization.
To extend this report, a first study day is organized on Monday May 6, 2019 at the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
Three workshops and a round-table discussion, featuring a wide range of speakers, will cover the full range of topics:
- Workshop 1: Expatriation in the course of a career
What expatriation opportunities are available at the start of or during a career? How can I prepare? How can I make the most of an expatriation during my career? How do you return? Political scientists will present their experiences (theses abroad, EUIs, posts abroad). - Workshop 2: Publishing in English-language or bilingual journals
How to publish internationally? What type of publication strategy should I adopt? What kind of formatting should be used? Presentations by editorial board members of English-language and bilingual journals. - Workshop 3: Financing and conducting international research
What international funding opportunities are available? What national funding is available for international research? How do I apply? How do I put together a team? How to put together an application? - Round table: Internationalization and careers
How are institutions and supervisory bodies dealing with the issue of internationalization? What role does it play in recruitment? What institutional initiatives are in place to support internationalization?
