Cancelled festivals: estimating the economic and social impact
Cancelled Festivals: Estimating the Economic and Social Loss: Emmanuel Négrier, Aurélien Djakouane, Damien Potier, and Marion Vidal analyze the economic and social loss resulting from the cancellation of festivals in 2020.
The SoFEST! study, initiated and coordinated by France Festivals, is the result of close collaboration between a research team—co-led by Emmanuel Négrier and Aurélien Djakouane—regional and national festival networks (the Collectif des festivals, De Concert!, and the Fédération des Festivals de Chanson Francophone), and regional agencies (Grand Est and Occitanie). Several partners support the project: the DEPS (Department of Studies and Forecasting at the Ministry of Culture), Sacem, and Crédit Coopératif.
