KIPPT Newsletter No. 1 – September 2024

The first issue of the newsletter for theKey Initiative on Public Transition Policies(KIPPT) is now available. A new Key Initiative of the I-site Montpellier Program of Excellence, officially launched in April 2024, KIPPT is the first Key Initiative dedicated entirely to the humanities and social sciences. In a context where supporting transitions toward new, more sustainable and equitable development models has become a challenge for public actors, this Key Initiative aims to promote:

  • The regional, national, and international visibility of the expertise of social science researchers at the Montpellier I-Site working on public policies for transition: agriculture and food, health, the environment, and beyond—transportation, mobility, energy, education, digital technology…
  • Building a vibrant, interactive, and responsive multidisciplinary research community
  • Building relationships with and for the community, particularly with public sector entities and their partners

Since April 2024, various initiatives have been launched, confirming the momentum surrounding the topic of public policies for transition. To build on this momentum, KIPPT is launching this newsletter and the KIPPT website today. These tools are designed to facilitate the sharing of resources and foster dialogue: please feel free to make use of them!
