The Right to Health Care for Incarcerated Women: The Specific Case of Prenatal Care in Prison
The right to health care for incarcerated women is a unique issue that needs to be defined more broadly and contextualized within our contemporary society, which no longer condemns minorities to remain in the shadows.
Understanding the shortcomings in healthcare for incarcerated women is part of this current movement of demands, highlighted in particular by #MeToo and the denunciation of gynecological and obstetric violence.
