IRN (International Research Network) Project

Theme: “Medical Humanities”

Partners: the Universityof Montpellier, the CEPEL’s governing body, and approximately ten universities in France (Paris 1, 3, and 7; Strasbourg), Europe (Geneva, London, Lisbon), and North America (New York, Montreal).

Objective: to clarify the methods and scope of this emerging discipline, to examine the respective roles of the various disciplines involved, and to shed light on the concept of “humanity” as it applies within this field.

Start date: January 1 , 2019

CNRS grant: approximately 15,000 euros to cover the costs of a few business trips for their members and the organization of scientific events planned at their site.

Planned outcomes: a collective publication, a major conference, and a summer school.
