IRN (International Research Network) Project

Topic: “Medical Humanities”

Partners: the Universityof Montpellier, the governing body of CEPEL, and about ten universities in France (Paris 1, 3, and 7; Strasbourg), in Europe (Geneva, London, Lisbon), and in North America (New York, Montreal).

Objective: to clarify the methods and scope of this emerging discipline, to examine the respective positions of the various disciplines that contribute to it, and to shed light on the concept of “humanity” as it applies within this field.

Start Date: January 1 , 2019

CNRS grant: approximately 15,000 euros to cover the costs of a few business trips for their members and the organization of scientific events planned at their site.

Planned outcomes: a collective work, a major conference, and a summer school.
