As part ofJapan Week in Occitanie, the IRIS Indo-Pacific Geopolitical Observatory is organizing a conference at the University of Montpellier on the topic: France, Japan, and the Indo-Pacific.

  • Nobukatsu KANEHARA, professor at Doshisha University (Kyoto), former diplomat, and diplomatic advisor to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (via Zoom).
  • Julien AUDEMARD, a CNRS researcher at the Center for Political and Social Studies (CEPEL) at the University of Montpellier.
  • Barthelemy COURMONT, head of the Asia-Pacific program at IRIS and associate professor (HDR) at the Catholic University of Lille.
  • Marianne PERON-DOISE, Director of the IRIS Indo-Pacific Geopolitical Observatory.
  • Julia TASSE, Research Director at IRIS and Head of the Climate, Energy, and Security Program.
