Violette Larrieu, winner of the Social Sciences Foundation Award
Violette Larrieu has been selected as a fellow of the Fondation des Sciences Sociales, joining its 2023–2024 cohort. Twelve researchers were selected and awarded fellowships after proposing a research topic suitable for a peer-reviewed journal article on this year’s theme, “A World at War?” In this context, she is writing a proposed article titled “Technological Innovation: The New Lifeblood of War?”, which builds on her ongoing research with Jean Frances as part of the TRAVID project and ID2I at ENSTA Bretagne. As a prize winner, a version intended for a wider audience will be presented in November 2023 during the 11th Social Sciences Day and will also be published in French in the Foundation’s anthology. She will also receive a prize of €2,500.
