In search of science at the CNRS | 2024 edition
As part of the 2024 edition of En quête de sciences au CNRS (In Search of Science at the CNRS), the documentary Des goûts de lutte (A Taste for Struggle) will bebroadcast on Saturday, October 12, at 1 p.m.
Directed by Emmanuelle Reungoat, a lecturer and researcher at the University of Montpellier at CEPEL, and Pierre-Olivier Gaumin, a CNRS research engineer, videographer, and photographer at MSH-Sud, both will be present for a discussion/debate after the film.
What mark does a revolt leave on those who experienced it? By following the intersecting paths of the Yellow Vests for several years after the movement, the film examines the evolution of their relationship to the world, politics, violence, otherness, and social boundaries. Echoing this, a historian and a sociologist draw parallels between these traces and those of other movements that have marked history, such as the Paris Commune and the Spanish Indignados.
