Study of return migration dynamics between Europe and Africa: The case of Côte d'Ivoire, University of Perpignan via Domitia.

The issue under study is return migration between Europe and Africa. The focus of public opinion on immigration to Europe means that migrants making the reverse journey are overlooked. While return migration is the subject of much attention these days, studies dedicated to this theme are beginning to appear around the world, particularly in Africa, but taking into account those who return voluntarily as opposed to those who are forced to leave. This research will focus specifically on this fringe of migrants who return, but not under the same conditions as the former. The overall aim of this study is to contribute to a better understanding of the conditions in place for the reception, reintegration and resettlement of return migrants in Sub-Saharan Africa, using Côte d'Ivoire as an example.
