Study of return migration dynamics between Europe and Africa: The case of Côte d'Ivoire, University of Perpignan via Domitia.

The issue under study concerns return migration between Europe and Africa. The focus of public opinion on immigration to Europe means that migrants who are making the reverse journey are often overlooked. Although return migration is receiving a great deal of attention these days, studies on this topic are beginning to appear around the world, particularly in Africa, but they tend to focus on those who return voluntarily, as opposed to those who are forced to leave. This research will focus specifically on this group of migrants who return but not under the same conditions as the former. The overall objective of this study is to contribute to a better understanding of the conditions of return put in place for the reception, reintegration, and resettlement of returning migrants in Sub-Saharan Africa, using the example of Côte d'Ivoire.
