Thesis project

Abstract: This thesis research aimed to contribute to the understanding of the transformation of the French education system and the State, by understanding the specificities of the territories in which it is deployed, and the differentiated treatment of populations through it. It was precisely a question of addressing, through the narrow focus of a department, the problems revealed by a "mixity" system initiated on a city scale in 2016. The study was conducted with different communities and groups of actors who gravitate around the process of school resectorization whose stated objective is to "gain diversity". Ultimately , the dynamics that sediment the territory are based on the logic of categorization and spatialized treatment of populations.
