Occitanie Science Day 2019
The Occitanie 2019 science day, organized by Météo et Climat Toulouse-Occitanie, follows on from the publication a year ago of the IPCC report on the impacts of global warming limited to 1.5°C. More than 240 participants (Laura MICHEL forCEPEL/CNRS)
It focuses on translating this objective at the regional level, with an emphasis on the Occitanie region. The main issues addressed and broken down at the regional level are as follows: How can limiting global warming to 1.5°C be translated into agricultural, energy, and ecological transition planning? How can consistency be ensured between sectoral policies for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions? How can the scientific findings of the IPCC report be disseminated and their consideration by stakeholders facilitated?
