Occitanie Scientific Day 2019

The 2019 Occitanie Scientific Day, organized by Météo et Climat Toulouse-Occitanie, follows the publication a year ago of the IPCC report on the impacts of global warming limited to 1.5°C. More than 240 participants(Laura MICHELforCEPEL/CNRS)
The conference focused on translating this objective to the local level, with particular emphasis on the Occitanie region. The main questions tackled and translated at territorial level are as follows: How can limiting global warming to 1.5°C be translated into the planning of agricultural, energy and ecological transitions? How can we ensure coherence between sectoral greenhouse gas mitigation policies? How can we disseminate the scientific findings of the IPCC report and make it easier for stakeholders to take them into account?
