Documentary: FESTIVAL, When my village resists
Tom Graffin's documentary, in which Emmanuel Négrier took part, was broadcast on France 3 on Thursday May 14, 2020. Entitled FESTIVAL, Quand mon village résiste ( FESTIVAL, When my village resists), it tells the story of the challenge faced by the Normandy music festival Papillons de Nuit (P2N), in Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves (Manche).In 3 days, this village of 480 inhabitants welcomes 75,000 festival-goers. What a miracle! The documentary is a hymn to the villages, to voluntary work and to the associative model. But it is also a wake-up call, as many events of this type are fragile and threatened with extinction. For many this year, the coronavirus could be the final straw.
