Documentary: Festival: When My Village Resists
On Thursday, May 14, 2020, France 3 broadcast Tom Graffin's documentary, in which Emmanuel Négrier participated. Entitled Festival: quand mon village résiste (Festival: when my village resists), it recounts the challenge faced by the Normandy music festival Papillons de Nuit (P2N) in Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves (Manche). In three days, this village of 480 inhabitants welcomes 75,000 festival-goers. A miracle. The documentary is intended as a tribute to villages, volunteerism, and the community model. But it is also a warning, because many events of this type are fragile and threatened with extinction. For many this year, the coronavirus could be the final blow.
