Session 3 of the "Current social science research" seminar

The third session of the CEPEL laboratory's "Actualité de la recherche en sciences sociales" seminar will take place on Friday June 18, 2021 at 9am.

Our guest will be researcher Émilie Biland Curinier, university professor of sociology at Sciences Po's Centre de Sociologie des Organisations (CSO ). She is also Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science atUniversité Laval in Quebec, and a member of theInstitut Universitaire de France.

She will present her book Gouverner la vie privée - L'encadrement inégalitaire des séparations conjugales en France et au Québec, published in 2020.

She is interested in the devices that frame individuals in their private lives (through parental roles) and in their professional lives (in public employment). She is also working on LGBT parents' relationships with the law and justice in France, Canada and Chile, while continuing her research on territorial inequalities in family justice and the institutional pathways of separated parents.
