Montpellier Oral Health: mOralHealth precariousness

Project summary:

As part of the Montpellier Oral Health program, we want to work on improving the oral health of people living in precarious and extremely precarious situations. Montpellier Oral Health is the first implementation of the WHO's mOralHealth program, and the WHO is very interested in our assessments of the program's implementation. The target population is the population most similar to those the WHO wishes to reach worldwide with the mOralHealth program. We will work with the National Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII), the ADAGES association, a shelter for homeless people, and the social services department of the City of Montpellier. Together, we will roll out oral health prevention campaigns for these groups, using text messages and videos tailored to these specific audiences to improve their oral health literacy. In addition, we will train oral health professionals. Finally, we will set up oral health teleconsultations in the facilities that serve these populations in order to identify their healthcare needs and refer them to appropriate practices or facilities. We hope to be able to evaluate the impact of these various actions on the target audience.
