Biography
Graduate of Sciences Po Paris, graduate of higher studies in public law (Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne), doctorate in urbangeography(EHESS), doctorate in political science (University of Montpellier) Project manager at DATAR (1969-71); Director of Urban Research at the Ministry of Urban Planning (1982-86); CNRS research director at Cepel, University of Montpellier I (1992-2000); appointed member of the National Committee for Scientific Research; University professor at IEP Aix en Provence (2001-2016).
Academic positions: Director of Cepel (1995-99); member of the Agrégation jury in political science (1999-2000); member of the IUF jury (2001); Director of Research and Doctoral Training at the IEP in Aix-en-Provence (2004-2007); Scientific Delegate at the AERES (in charge of political science and sociology) 2007-2010. President of the Scientific Council of the GIS "National Network of MSH" since 2016.
