Biography
Graduate of Sciences Po Paris; holder of a master’s degree in public law (Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne); Ph.D.in urban geography (EHESS); Doctorat d’État in political science (University of Montpellier); Project Manager at DATAR (1969–71); Director of the Urban Research Division at the Ministry of Urban Planning (1982–86); CNRS Research Director at Cepel, University of Montpellier I (1992–2000); appointed member of the National Committee for Scientific Research; Professor at the IEP in Aix-en-Provence (2001–2016).
Academic Positions: Director of Cepel (1995–99); member of the Agrégation examination board in political science (1999–2000); member of the IUF examination board (2001); Director of Research and Doctoral Studies at the IEP in Aix-en-Provence (2004–2007); Scientific Delegate at the AERES (responsible for political science and sociology) (2007–2010). Chair of the Scientific Council of the GIS “National Network of MSHs” since 2016.
