THESIS PROPOSAL

The aim of this dissertation will be to conduct an in-depth analysis of the concept of class struggle today, which does not carry the same meaning as it did in the past, since every society is characterized by different social groups. While at the end of the last century it was believed that classes no longer existed, they have been brought back into sharp relief by the pandemic and contemporary social movements. We are witnessing the return of class struggle, against a backdrop of crisis and worsening inequality, with new perspectives. Thus, the value of this work lies in examining the empirical issue of social classes and their evolution over the past few decades by reexamining the concept of social class and the new forms of class struggle that characterize recent social movements, drawing on the growing sentiment of resentment that serves as the very fuel driving the emergence of these movements.
