THESIS PROJECT

The aim of this thesis will be to analyse in depth the idea of class struggle today, which does not take on the same meaning as in the past, as each society is characterized by different social groups. Whereas at the end of the last century, it was believed that classes no longer existed, they have been rematerialized in an extremely visible way by the pandemic and contemporary social movements. Class struggles are making a comeback, against a backdrop of crisis and worsening inequality, with new perspectives. Thus, the usefulness of this work lies in the empirical problem of social classes and their evolution over the last few decades, through the questioning of the concept of social class and the new forms of class struggle that characterize recent social movements, taking on the importance of resentment, which is the very engine (the fuel) behind the birth of these movements.
